At Northern Hills Assisted Living Community, we customize our programs to provide just the right amount of assistance to foster independence and provide enough supportive services to ensure our residents maintain and/or enhance their quality of life. It is important to us that each resident live with dignity and be treated with the utmost respect.

Medical Services

  • Resident service levels are provided for the most individualized and professional service. An in-depth evaluation tool has been developed to determine each resident’s level of care.

  • Our Registered Nurse partners with each resident, their family and physician to develop a plan of care unique to meet each person’s needs and wants.

  • The Resident Service levels are based on a point system with respective monthly charges.

    Levels of Care:
    Base Level - 0 points
    Level 1 – 1 – 9 points
    Level 2 – 10 – 19 points
    Level 3 – 20 – 29 points
    Level 4 – 30 – 39 points
    Level 5 – 40 – 49 points
    Level 6 – 50 – 59 points

  • Assessments are done at the following times: upon admission, 30 days after admission, 90 days after admission, quarterly reviews, and also when changes occur.

  • 3 floor plans are available for selection: studio, one bedroom, and two bedrooms.

  • Northern Hills Assisted Living has 64 spacious assisted living apartments.

  • The community features four stairwells and an elevator to accommodate first and second floor apartments.

  • Apartments with interior, outside, and courtyard views are available without differential pricing.

  • Rent is collected on a month-to-month basis and do not require long-term contracts.

Resident Services

  • Community amenities are provided to give our residents more convenience and choices in their lifestyle. Our assisted living community features a library, theatre/chapel, country store, beauty/barber shop, whirlpool room, wellness area, and several distinctive lounges.

  • Various religious services and Bible studies are provided onsite in the Chapel.

  • Beauty shop and barbering services are available in the community by appointment.

  • Stop in at the county store for complimentary snacks, or for a ice cream in our dining room.

  • Activities are tailored by our Life Enrichment Coordinator to appeal to our resident’s interests: crafts, games, cards, current event reviews, outside entertainment, and shopping trips and various van outings.

  • Residents may bring small pets to live with them. A $1000 nonrefundable deposit is required.

  • Whirlpool bathing is available in our unique no-lift tub with side entry for relaxation and comfort.

  • Professional management staff are available 24-hours each day to provide assistance with hospitality and daily living needs.

Meal Services

  • Three nutritious home cooked meals are served restaurant style in our dining room. Residents exercise independent choices in meal selections.

  • A private dining room is available for reservation by residents to enjoy special meals with family and friends.

Housekeeping and Laundry Services

  • Weekly housekeeping is provided.

  • Basic laundry services include changing and washing bedding and flat linens.

  • Northern Hills Assisted Living features two onsite laundry rooms.

Transportation and Maintenance Services

  • Transportation is available by the facility to medical appointments and for special requests. A van with a wheelchair lift is offered.

  • Complete maintenance of building and grounds is provided. This includes snow removal, trash pickup, and personal vehicle assistance.

  • Regular maintenance and repair of apartment appliances is provided.

Security Services

  • All rooms have smoke detectors, sprinkler units, and fire alarms. Monthly fire drills are conducted for staff and residents.

  • A Register Nurse is on-call at all times. 24-hour certified staffing is present on-site to monitor health and medication needs.

  • Each resident wears a pendent to notify staff of individual needs or emergencies.

Floor Plans

Each apartment design has been carefully planned in order to make daily living as comfortable as possible. Thoughtful design are architectural structure makes Northern Hills a well-thought out community.

Each apartment features:

  • Individual heating and air conditioning units with utilities paid.

  • Basic cable service with connections in bedroom and living room.

  • Kitchenettes are supplied with cabinetry, microwave oven, mid-size refrigerator, and stainless steel sink.

  • A large window with display ledge with blinds.

  • Bathroom with bench seating in shower, adjustable shower head, grab bars, and spacious linen closet.

  • Spacious closets and raised outlets

  • Neutral color scheme goes with all personal home furnishings.

  • Telephone and wireless internet services available for a minimal charge

Apartments are priced according to square footage. Choices of 3 floor plans are available:

Studio

402 Square Feet

One Bedroom

550 Square Feet

Two Bedroom, One Bath

750 Square Feet

Garages are available for $40.00 per month

Apartments are selected and held by a $500 refundable deposit for four weeks.
